Our Story

Long Story Short(ish)...

Our story technically started years ago in East Texas, where we went to school together, back then we were just two kids passing in the halls, we didn't know much about each other until we both graduated.

A couple of years after high school we briefly crossed paths again only this time, as good friends in the thick of our wild phase - partying and performing live-action cautionary tales. Life eventually pulled us in different directions, and we went from good friends talking everyday to annual check-ups.

Fast forward to 2023, Jeremiah's job brought him near my town, we started conversing daily. I told Jeremiah I was making it a resolution of mine to go on dates, and get out of my comfort zone. He wasted no time asking if he could "show me what a good date looks like". I, of course, accepted.

Seeing him again after several years, it was like we never missed a beat. I knew it was asking for trouble falling for an old friend who lives several hours away, but I couldn't help myself. I found myself wanting to be with him as much as possible. We had both evolved from party animals to adults with goals and responsibilities. It felt good to have someone who knew and accepted me before I grew up, and accepted me as I am now.

Like all things do, our time came to an end when his job took him elsewhere. We cooled off for a bit but found ourselves gravitating back to each other. We would meet at destinations halfway between us, spend weekends, and even weekdays together.

His next job was taking him to Washington state, I was scared and knew I was gonna miss him like crazy. We talked nearly everyday after he made it up there. Eventually, he asked me if I wanted to come visit - I stayed for 10 weeks. Best. Time. Ever.

From there, things started escalating (in a good way) fast. We moved in together, took trips together, met each other's families, all of the things.

He, of course, bought a ring (best decision he's ever made). I have no idea what he had in store to propose because I have a serious snooping problem (don't judge me ):) and found the ring the same day. He could tell I had found it so he asked me in our bedroom in pajamas, honestly couldn't have been more authentically us. And you know I said yes, of course.
